FC Seoul midfielder Server Djeparov has left the Korean outfit for Al Shabab.
According to the official AFC website, the 2008 AFC Player of the year finalized his transfer from the AFC Champions League quarter-finalists to the Saudi Arabia side last Saturday.
Djeparov, who made 26 appearances for the Korean giants, expressed his eagerness to link up with his new club.
"I was the first Uzbek in Korean League and now I would like to discover Saudi Arabia.
"Al Shabab will start their preparations for the new season in Germany and I am planning to join them by the end of July after Uzbekistan's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kygyzstan.
"I have collected information about the new club mostly from the internet. Unfortunately, Al Shabab were relegated from this season's AFC Champions League, but I think next year we will be seriously fight for the trophy."
The five-time Saudi Premier League champions were narrowly edged out by Qatar side Al-Sadd 1-0 in the AFC Champion League's round of 16.
The Uzbekistan international, who has signed a three year deal, also commented on Al Shabab's manager, Michel Preud'homme.
"It will be interesting to work with such a well-known coach," the 5'7 midfielder said of the former FC Twente and Standard Liege manager.
Following an emphatic 3-0 victory against Japanese side Kashima Antlers in the round of 16, FC Seoul face Al-Ittihad on September 14 for the first leg of the 2011 AFC Champions League quarter-finals.
